Coldplay - Rockefeller Center - 06/27/2008

pipettesfan's Concert Review
Well I have to be honest, this was most crowded I have ever seen Rockefeller Center (more so than their Christmas Tree lighting) and I was here previously for John Mayer and was no close to this packed. So the only way I could get in was through some special connections. Albeit while I could hear them, I couldn't quite see them as I was placed behind the set. (So I got nice gaping view of Chris's balding spot).
So this entire view is based on audio only. They performed their new hit "Vida la vida" and some of their other classics from before. I have to say, I have never heard a crowd sing along so loud to the point they can actually drain out the lead singer - one of the most surreal concert experiences I ever had (aside from watching the Pipettes live). I'm not really a big fan of Coldplay but after this concert I can see why people are all the rage about them. I would recommend going again because its just one of those shows that you know you can have a "moment" memory at.
Just word of advice...don't get seats behind stage lighting unless you want to checkout the fatass roadies.
