The Last PuFF (Artist)
The Last Puff is a Grunge / Metal / Psychedelic Rock band from New Delhi, India.
The band name 'The Last Puff' came in their heads while smoking the last puff of their cigarettes. Now the name might create a confusion in ur heads, you can take it either as -- This is my last puff, i am not gonna smoke anymore.
Or you can take it as the other way round -- this is my last puff, gimme some more f**kin cigarettes.
The same is with their music.. If their one song is based on some serious issue, then it might be possible that their next song is filled with crazy stuff..
The band comprises of:
Ankit on Vox + Rythm
Kushagra on Lead Guitar
Debanshu on Bass Guitar
Kshitij on Drums
The music is inspired by bands like Sonic Youth, The Cure, Radiohead, Opeth, The White Stripes, The Vines, Tool, Pink Floyd, Muse, Suede, Blur etc.
The band has performed at various places:
LSR, SRCC - Delhi University, IIT - Roorkee, Urban Cafe - Gurgaon, IMT, MIET, BBDIT, IME, ABES, VITS, NSR annual concert - Noida, IME, KIET, RD Engg Colg, and some other places too.
And won the Rock Event in BBDIT Encore '09, and ABES It Ain't Noise '09, and also got the award for best Vocalist and Guitarist at ABES.
The basic aim of the band is to bring the Grunge and Psychedelic scene into spotlight in India, as currently there are a few Grunge and Psychedelic bands in India.. And they have a lot of music in our heads, to keep them busy for a long long time.. Till now, they have composed around 15 songs, and the work is in progress..
