Woodstock Hippie Theme Custom Chopper Unique Show Bike
Posted: Jan 20, 2010
My ULTIMATE Woodstock memorbilia piece must be sold and I'm SAD!! I thought it would be appropriate to post it here because others may have the same passion for this life-changing event...
This is a ONE OF A KIND motorcycle built with nothing but PEACE and LOVE....I've owned this bike since 1996..It was a groovy pearl white and blue custom bike when I bought it but after riding her happily for 12 years, I felt it was time for a change..I never left the 60s so I thought it would be far out to build something that represented the old hippie in me...The spirit of Woodstock entered me while listening to the song Freedom by Richie Havens and I knew then what to build! Well, here it is man...
I had such a groovy time designing the bike with friends...The whole idea was to make people smile, and it worked! Everything was completely redone man....My original idea for the paint design was to allow enough room between the flowers and tie-dye for autographs from the Woodstock performers still with us...I've already recieved great feedback from Artie Kornfeld...Another thought I had was to contact Jay Leno and pitch a weeks worth of shows dedicated to Woodstock and their 40th anniversary. I thought he might like the bike there on the show so he could ask the Woodstock guests to sign it...I do hope that the new owner continues with these ideas...
The S&S motor was completely rebuilt and bored to 103 ci....She has 16 inch ape hangers....Her raised fish-tails are out of sight....For protection, she has a chrome splash guard in front of the rear tire and the bottom side of both fenders and the gas tank have Rhino Shield....Front and rear solid chrome wheels...She is built right for show or FUN!! Over $40k invested...
Although the title is 1996, the bike is brand new!
The drag is that I have to sell her...I live on the island of Maui and I'm afraid if I bring her here, she will deteriorate quickly....My nephew will be taking care of her and show her to cats that are interested....
She has a couple of blemishes on the bottom part of the yellow powdercoat on the frame...Everything else is great...MAKE AN OFFER...If you get her, you won't regret it...It's a solid investment, especially if you get a few autographs on her...
JUST A LITTLE INCENTIVE FOR THOSE CLOSE TO AN ACCEPTABLE OFFER! I'LL THROW IN A MINT CONDITION ORIGINAL UN-USED 1969 WOODSTOCK $7.00 TICKET...THE $7.00 TICKETS ARE MORE RARE BECAUSE THEY WERE PRE-PAID..ALSO, THIS TICKET IS FOR FRIDAY, AUGUST 15, 1969 WHICH WAS THE FIRST DAY OF THE FESTIVAL!!
MAKE AN OFFER BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!

"Origianlly, they were supposed to play at an earlier time so I showed up and made my way to the very front row and waited for the show to start. I found out soon enough that the timeslot had been switched and Ice Cube came walking out on stage instead. ..."
